Pros

Cheap pizza down the hall. The engineers are very smart and dedicated.

Cons

Oh Bevi, How great you preach how you will be different than the rest with your " great culture". This is a realist review you will read. they constantly ask us to go and right positive reviews on these site. I decided to tell the truth and warn you all. Watch after this review a bunch of yippie yay reviews will be post... There are many great people that work here but the environment is very toxic and hostile due to recent new members 1-There is no culture, especially when you pack 28 people into a 2000sq foot basement office. There is no way to do any real work. They plan on moving to another disgusting office. Not to mention you are in a very dangerous section of the city. Many junkies hang around at night. 2- Upper management is abusive, back stabbing and down right racist. Everyone knows about the culture and messages that get sent out to the entire company....and they do nothing about it. 4- CEO has no ability to actually lead and will ignore any issue because he is to afraid of his own shadow. They also spend 0.00 on anything for its employees and culture. 5-Benefits SUCK. Its better off not even having health insurance. no 401k match and they act like its a big favor 6-VP's love to harass employees and have even been confrontational 7-Their pay honestly sucks comparable to the rest of the startup out there. ***** Moral of the story is if you plan on working here, DONT. Bevi is having many troubled days ahead of it and you do not want to be there*******

An important message was shared in this review - thank you for it. There’s a lot to address. Since April 2017, Bevi has hired a People Operations Manager and four new senior leaders from companies whose values and services we admire help expose the realities behind and address concerns surrounding the rapid growth of a young company. We’re also pleased to share that we moved! Bevi is now located in a space with our own R&D lab, test kitchen, lots and lots of light, and plenty of room for Hero, our Official Office Dog to host his visiting, furry colleagues. This summer we’re looking forward to engaging in our first company-wide performance reviews which will include 360 evaluations and ratings on how we’re “Living our Core” - values, that is. We’re also pretty excited about our company retreat to Austin, Texas. (We love water, but we also love really good food). A lot can change in a year, which, if you ask us, is a really good thing.

Pros

There are certainly genuine people at Bevi who care; not everyone is putting on an act for leadership.

Cons

There is a clear lack of strategic direction, and longstanding concerns about leadership effectiveness have persisted—and, in some cases, appear to have intensified over time. The leadership is dysfunctional. Decision-making can be subjective, and performance metrics are just a footnote. In certain situations, employment decisions may be influenced more by intuition than by measurable performance. If you’re comfortable working in an environment where priorities shift frequently and teams may not always be aligned, this organization could still be a potential fit.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. The experience you describe isn’t what we strive for at Bevi. We have a clear strategy, and we’re continuing to strengthen alignment, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness as we grow. Our performance processes are structured and transparent, and employment decisions are based on impact and business needs. We know our fast-paced environment isn’t for everyone, but many people here are deeply committed to building a culture of accountability, clarity, and high performance. Again, we appreciate your feedback and will keep a focus on continuous improvement as we grow.

Pros

- Unique product with a lot of opportunity. I will never not love a Bevi machine. - A lot of intelligent people to learn from. Not all, but some teams are supportive and collaborative. - The office is nice and the free lunch days are great.

Cons

- Upper management and leadership are an issue here, and are the main bottleneck to the company’s success. They need to trust the people they hired to do their job without micromanaging. - Bevi does not like to promote from within or support employee growth. I’ve seen this trend specifically across the GTM teams. - Lots of competition between and within teams, which doesn’t promote a healthy or sustainable work environment (excuse the pun). I would argue that on some teams, it becomes toxic. - If you want to succeed, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The louder employees seem to get the most “credit”.
