Unrealistic expectations for a standard length work day. You’ll wear many hats. Development opportunities are few and far in between and won’t come with compensation

You might get to work with someone nice but they will probably end up leaving like you will

Docked 1 hour lunch break but still work through lunch No recognition Low pay Assistant manages do the same as manages & get paid a lot less Even thought you are doing the same job if the opportunity arises the won’t make you the manager because pay is bad This has happened to me & the next girl who took on my role when I left to manage a different store & was extremely successful at

- Staff discount - Friendly team - Retail experience

Cons

Best and Less is a good place to gain retail experience, but long term is not ideal. I experienced frequent staff turn around, which was reflective of the work environment. Constant changes in management, mixed with difficult customers made working at Best and Less very stressful.
