Pros

I've worked in a number of roles in the design industry both on the agency and client sides throughout my career, and Bergmeyer has truly been the most genuinely rewarding company I've worked for to date. It goes without saying that every person's experience at a company is uniquely there's to have, and I respect that. What I would love potential candidates to know about Bergmeyer though is that they truly care about the greater good of the work we do as designers and creatives in the world. They aren't perfect, and they know that. No one is so don't even go there. What they are is real. They know the industry as a whole is inequitable and lacks diversity across the board, but they are determined to change that, which all starts with ACTION over WORDS. Tell me a company that has 10+ internally organized committees and task forces dedicated to EDI, Social Responsibility, Green/Sustainability, Practice/Performance/Mentorship, Educational Advancement, Connectedness.... the list goes on. These aren't just fluff groups created to check a box - these are groups that are made up of passionate employees dedicated to taking time out of their jampacked days to push forward initiatives to change and elevate the way in which we as a company and we as an industry operate. Change doesn't happen with a disgruntled employee that leaves after 2 years with a bitter taste in their mouth, only to do the same thing to the next company 2 years later. Change is something that takes time, but it takes a SHARED PURPOSE and it also takes a company with leadership that is COMMITTED to supporting and championing critical initiatives that better the greater good. I read some of the reviews on Glassdoor and see a very common pattern of ex-employees hiding behind a screen to speak their mind after they leave a company, many of which never once spoke up about their "disdain" or "frustrations" with the company they so quickly tear down on here. I think it is worth more active employees taking time to speak up for the company's they work for and have pride in representing to offset these insufficient reviews from cowards. Bergmeyer is something special, truly. The people are the heart and soul of Bergmeyer, and they are the reason the company has evolved and grown through four decades in business. If you have a moment, look back and see the evolution of Bergmeyer for yourself - I promise you, it won't disappoint. I think we need to do our research before we base our opinions on simple-minded humans that write dis-ingenuine hate mail here. Are you looking for work? Do you like to design in a collaborative community of like-minded doers and makers that will undoubtedly elevate you and challenge you to be better and do greater than you ever thought possible? Well, check us out and see for yourself.

Cons

Constantly curious collaborative community that will make you think outside the box. If you like to design without boundaries, maybe you'll be a fit.
