Pros

- A majority of colleagues are really great to work with. They are very talented, kind and helpful. - Free coffee and snacks. - Twice a week fruit day. (Just to add points in pros) - Great payers for sure. Gives your career a great foundation - Project parties are fun and frequent

Cons

- The company is on a decline now. Pune office has been shut down And much New Delhi strength.. specially the senior staff has been laid off which I believe constructed the very foundation of this office - PS : * No overtime anymore - Job security issues / insecurities have risen - Favoritism and politics is as good as any big MNC despite having startup strength - You really need to be friends with the limited people who run the company now - The India head is humble yet mute over the people in power.

Thanks for sharing your perception and speculation. There are a couple of accurate points we can share context about, while most other notes are inaccurate speculation. As you have alluded, earlier, we gave a three month heads up that we aren't continuing with our satellite office in Pune; the challenges of this smaller and more distant office are more effectively met in our much larger Delhi headquarters. We've done our best to make this necessary decision as easy as possible for Pune team members: we have sought for many of our Pune colleagues to join us in Delhi, and have provided full support and lots of time for those for whom Delhi isn't an option to make arrangements that suit them. We have made only small changes to our New Delhi teams, mostly involving some non-senior members. We have absolutely no plans or need to make any more. As we strategically hire for certain needs, we are focused on adding additional experienced specialists. As you've noted, we seek to offer very attractive packages. This will never change. We are optimizing some details. For example, we want to reward our many passionate technologists based on productivity, rather than just time, so we replaced our overtime benefit in order to compensate based on overall performance, and are offering more flexible timing. Your suggestions about favoritism, encouraging showoffs, and politics are off-base. While there are many personalities in any organization of our size, we work hard to ensure a detailed evaluation process that is fact and framework based, that incorporates assessments from multiple professionals, and that involves detailed two-way conversations. Most of our staff members evaluate very highly, which undermines your suggestion that "it's who you know". Over our many years, we've always had some people come out with imaginative and sometimes hysterical speculations, and others claiming that the glory days with such amazing people are somehow ending, and some even trying to be hurtful. The truth has been that we are a long standing, stable company of passionate technologists; continuously and of course imperfectly trying to do our best, to be as rigorous and fair as we can, and to up our game; with enough interesting staff members that some people will always have different perspectives than others. A request to you and others: gossip and speculation is usually more wrong than right. If your mind is wandering or someone else's is, just come to us and ask. We're accessible, and without disclosing personal confidences, can usually share a fact-based reality that, while possibly less colorful, will probably be more comfortable.
