Pros

The culture is one of honesty, compassion and dedication. They forge solid relationships with their employees, partners and clients and are very understanding when life throws you a curve ball. The company is very active in looking for ways to improve on multiple fronts and continues to grow stronger. Leadership is solid and I'm amazed at how much they have managed to accomplish in the time I've spent with them. Team chemistry is great! There is a lot of knowledge sharing and guidance. Can't quite figure out how to solve a problem? Share with the group and we'll help you out. Need to talk something through? They are always available to help with whatever you need not to mention monthly one-on-one check-ins with their rockstar Head of HR. They encourage devs to spend time on personal development which they are happy to pay for. The more you improve the more they benefit from working with you. For me this is a huge benefit as it is vital for developers to be constantly learning and growing our knowledge and skillset. They work with you to map out a career growth strategy that is evaluated every 6 months. If you put in the work, show great improvement and deliver solid results and feedback from their clients, you will be rewarded with a pay increase. Finally, I love how they like to challenge you with greater responsibility over time and even help you build your own personal brand through social media and/or technical writing.

Cons

Unfortunately, they do not as yet offer benefits such as health insurance or paid leave. Working remotely from another country means you will be on a B2B contract and therefore technically not an employee of Bejamas although definitely part of the team! If you manage your time well you can mitigate the affect this will have on your finances when you do take some days off. I would not be surprised to see this change at some point in the future as the company grows and aims to become more competitive in attracting talent as more and more companies embrace the remote work revolution.
