If you’re not “white” and “good looking” enough, you won’t fit in with the inner clique at Barry’s. There are no POC on the leadership team or its leadership roles at corporate for a reason: the culture and demographic thrives around the young, white & wealthy neighborhoods. I have watched this company actively remove POC they found “problematic” compared to non-POC that are either constantly coked out 24/7 and end up costing the company thousands of dollars in mistakes and somehow continue to remain in the company. The internal views within the company are inherently racist.

In my experience, I have never felt so humiliated to work at a company that has the undertones of racism, bigotry, body shaming and toxic work culture. I am a POC and i would never EVER recommend ANYONE to work here. The CEO does not acknowledge other employees who are not within his "inner circle" and the executives, especially Retail, Marketing, and Studio Design are rude and condescending. I've been mocked for my weight here, what I consume, and I've heard racial comments from my coworkers about me and other employees of color. The executives do not try make this work environment a community at all. If you preach about love and not hate, why are some of your employees so hateful to others? Please take some time, especially during this time when everyone is home, to talk to your executives and your managers so they can make this place a better place. Otherwise Barry's is just another hypocritical company that exists.
