Pros

The lads are a good bunch, shame about the conditions and management

Cons

This company does not value its people. Management focuses on replacing staff instead of developing them, and the lack of benefits shows how little they invest in employees. The work environment is unsustainable and draining. Unless major changes are made in leadership and employee support, I would not recommend working here. High turnover, good hardworking people are pushed out instead of being supported. No real benefits offered, which makes it hard to stay long term. A forced “cover system” that puts unnecessary pressure on employees, an employee has recently been pushed out due to not covering and receiving a final written warning, he hasn’t returned. Another lad has been off because work put restrictions on him to keep him safe then wouldn’t allow him back when he was back up to almost full health, he has now been pushed out as well. These 2 were our union reps as well! They had the most heartfelt email sent around letting us know they have ‘left the business’ that was it. Management will be round telling people these people wanted to leave or he was ready to retire anyway, the standard response when asked why the turnover is so high.

Pros

None that are good enough to mention

Cons

Where do you start? Senior managers could not care less about it's employees . A few years ago the company had a motivated experienced work force that all companies would give their right arm for, so what do they do force them all out without a plan how to manage what would follow. They thought they could drag people of the street to run the site and reduce the wage bill but unfortunately we all know you only get what you pay for. They force people to work ridiculous hours as they can't replace the staff quick enough. People who complain are told there are no bars on the windows which is very unprofessional. People are suffering from stress and burnout but management don't care they just keep demanding more. Something needs to give if they want to retain a stable workforce.
