Instead of admitting to a loss for a quarter or year, they will restructure and fire multiple employees to make their books look good for shareholders. This has happened two years in a row now.
When those people do get let go, they do not rehire replacements. Requiring the ones who were lucky enough to stay to pick up the work of those who were let go.
