Pros

Great place to tell how well you really know sales and can manage the entire sales process. They invest in structured sales training. Used to be a fun place to work. Technology used to be market leading.

Cons

Company culture has really started to deteriorate. Priorities have shifted from customer oriented & doing the right thing to profitability. Unrealistic expectations put on both Sales and Engineering teams. Unhealthy work life balance. Expect calls from team members until the very late hours of the night or expect to join meetings even when on vacation. Management is out of touch and seems to make decisions in a vacuum. Some of the stronger leaders departed to competitors. Current management seems to be a "good old boys" group. Many of the middle managers are not given any actual decision making authority. The president inserts himself into every opportunity and account and undermines the salesperson. Compensation is not competitive with the market. Variable or sales bonuses are not clearly defined and often times changed at the last minute if you are actually doing well that year. Expect minimal merit raises. Promotions seem to only be given if you try to leave. Major functions like HR and Marketing are non existent. President feels untrustworthy and is a quick talker. He overpromises and underdelivers. The factory struggles to provide clear information and causes more strain on the customer base and sales team.
