Pros

None come to mind really.

Cons

Commissions were split with people who didn't even do the work. Long hours standing on concrete floors. Had to sell a certain amount every day, standards were incredibly for high-priced items that were hard to sell in a retail setting.

Pros

- Gain self-confidence - Learn sales techniques This job is for a very set specific number of people who are probably single and have no college degree. They are the "work hard, play hard" mentality. You are selling goods in a Costco, Sams, or Walmart. Do not let them mislead you and tell you otherwise. For me, it was a terrible job and had nothing to do with marketing. They change their name every few years, it used to be The Austin Focus.

Cons

- Management is misleading when they hire you - Long hours for little pay - Guilt culture They have really weird tactics to get you to "buy-in" to the program. You had to stand for hours during morning meetings. You are a glorified salesperson almost harassing people in the store. You perform "shows." It's kind of demeaning honestly. I would not recommend people work here.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this anonymous review, however we would like to address a few things. We're so happy you gained self confidence and sales techniques, as that is a major part of our training. However, we have not ever changed our name. In fact, we just opened this business a year ago, so for us to "change our name every few years" is accusatory and incorrect. As far as "misleading" we have a three round interview where someone actually goes on site to an event to see what the day to day would require for the position you held. I'm very confused about what was misleading unless you were not actively not paying attention. There is not "buy in" or "guilt culture" that we believe in. If you had felt guilty about not doing your job, I apologize but that is a feeling I cannot control my staff to or to not have. Furthermore, if you did "harass people" in the store, I could see how that would make you feel guilty as that is NOT what we teach our sales staff. Our morning meetings are one hour, not hours, and we stand to get started for the day. However, sometimes we do sit, depending on how interactive we would like to make it! Again, thank you for taking the time to leave a review and if you have any other feedback, please email our HR team and I'd love to discuss further with you. I wish you the best of luck!
