      Corrupted company with incapable leadership

      flexible hours, good location, somewhat acceptable work family balance

      Cons

      Corrupted company, it's all about the upper management: promotions among friends, absurdly high salaries, and merit not a requirement at all. They bend whatever rule it takes to protect the top people and not make them accountable. Horrible place to work at, and for sure not diverse at all.

      It has provided some great short position opportunities since I left! Bravo, Autobytel!

      Cons

      It was an awful place that I should have left many years prior. I spent WAY too long here and wasted too many good years working for these people that fancied themselves a leadership team, and even attempted to call themselves my friend on occasion. The executives make FAR too much given their success rate - check the filings for their astronomical comp packages. Must be nice to not worry about succeeding at much of ANYTHING and be guaranteed that kind of income. According to the federal cost of living index, I received a pay DECREASE for every year that I worked at Autobytel, and I was there a while. Employee appreciation and reward for hard work and ambition were few and far between in my circles. YMMV.
