      Pros

      Transparency, sense of direction, focused investments, etc. - all things that accompany professional management.

      Cons

      The negative reviews are from current or former employees who are beyond naive. The new leadership team showed us that for years past customer losses exceeded new sales, yet some commenter says "Lisa B. got out at the right time?" Does anyone recall the monthly meetings that were instituted where all financial information is presented, yet someone says "no transparency." As well, some seem to think employing everyone for a few months worth of time is far superior to employing fewer people for a much longer time.

      Pros

      We all work together as a team and my strengths are respected and appreciated. The company values employees and coworkers treat each other like "famALy." Leadership is open and honest and gives you the tools you need to be successful - you are empowered and encouraged to take calculated risks and make good decisions. AL has been on the Top Workplaces in MN list for many years. It is all-around a great place to work.

      Cons

      The company changes with the market, so if you are resistant to change, this is not the place for you. The education market landscape can be challenging but it is also extremely rewarding.
