CEO is unfit to lead.

Pros

Most people I work with are awesome.

Cons

The CEO has cause a very insecure place to work. He is emotionally unfit to lead any organization, just like SIS and HBRC, before Elements. His emotional insecurity with himself seams to trickle down the line, causing unnecessary drama between employees and management. CEO is manipulative and patronizing to staff. Not a warm place to work. Must work outside of typical work hours, and believes that food like pizza and treats are the best motivators. No work/live balance at all. CEO lies about job descriptions, gives “promotions “ with no pay increase. Employees, get out while you still can and economy is looking good.

Thank you for your feedback. We believe that current and former employee feedback is very important. We find that your feedback is in line with a couple of former employees our of our Chicago office, which tells us we need to continue to look into the root issue. Although your the feedback is the opposite of the feedback of our employees in our other global office locations, we are thankful for the feedback. Clarification on a few assumptions all promotions have always been given a raise as adding any additional responsibility and a new title should be compensated. Pizza parties are just a form of gratitude but thank you for the feedback. Although we understand your role as as Staff Accountant didn't work out, your feedback will allow us to continue to improve the employee experience. We wish you nothing but the best in your future accounting roles.

Leadership Enabled Incompetent CEO to Lead the Company to Failure

Pros

Worked with an experienced and talented group of people

Cons

All of the aforementioned people were abruptly let go after the incompetent CEO's "vision" to rapidly expand (i.e., over-hire & overspend while underperforming). Funding: Led to increased hiring and new operations all over the world, which included launch parties and a lot of money spent, ultimately ending in 150 people being let go. Christmas party 2022- A well-known celebrity performed and employees from all over the world were flown into corporate HQ, but our raises were put on hold and bonus checks were cut in half when it came time for reviews the following March. Red flags from the beginning: Multiple leaders in and out of the company (including CFOs who clearly recognized the financial stupidity); product updates postponed; clients still using old software post-company rebrand and the "launch" of a new platform; vendors and contractors continuously unpaid with no regard for any agreed upon terms CEO/Founder's ego: A truly vain person who enjoyed his ego being stroked. Intentionally surrounded himself with enablers. Habitually lied and regularly spoke about his lavish lifestyle. Immature (and very cringeworthy) behaviour at events and on town halls - encouraging employees to chant like cheerleaders "Give me an A, give me a T..."; claims he is a DEI Champion who hires in underserved markets but the reality is he abruptly left all of those hired employees with no paycheck at a moment's notice. The icing on the cake: He stepped down as CEO 2 weeks prior to 150 layoffs but made sure everyone knew he was still a majority shareholder and simultaneously announced he'd be starting a new "game-changing" company involving DEI. Ultimately, he did not want to be in the position of CEO when layoffs came - but we all know he led us to this point. Leadership: Enabled the above behaviour and were not punished for poor decision-making. These "leaders" are paid high salaries to tolerate all of the above and agree with poor decisions while chanting "Give me an A" like cheerleaders at a high school football game. To those considering working here: Don't. It's a sh*tshow.

Pros

I had a great manager who ended up getting screwed. I had a great time working for this person and I have the utmost respect for him.

Cons

CEO COO Both are poor performers and it really is a miracle this organization is still in business.

Thank you for your feedback, as it is important to understand your experience. I am familiar with who you are and your view on the termination of your former manager, our COO and myself. It's been roughly two years since you worked for one of our subsidiaries. Termination of employees are not easy. We understand this can effect employee morale or cause additional questions. In most cases we decide not to discuss the termination of an employee/manager out of respect of the employee, but there was a reason other than "Screwing" over someone. In the life cycle of the organization we have had to learn that not everyone is a good fit for the organization. As an organization, we continue to improve on the employee experience and feedback like yours only help us do this.
