Pros

1. No weekends 2. Free lunch every month. 3. Nice facilities

Cons

1. Incompetent management who flap around. 2. Paltry bonus less than £200pa. 3. Weekly meetings just a barrage of criticism. No positivity or thanks for your efforts. 4. No real progression. They will hand select who they want. In 14 months no one promoted from customer support. 5. Training is dreadful. People who've never done the job before trying to tell.you how to do the job (you've done for 10 years) 6. Systems are dreadful. Also unable to connect to client systems which meant people using others log ons. Tut tut. 7. Compliance is over the top and inconsistent. Most of the team are constantly criticised for calls. 8. The job itself I'd mentally draining for which you get no thanks and are constantly treading on eggshells from clients, customers and compliance. 9. High turnover of staff In my 18 years of employment this is one of the most arrogant, obnoxious places I've worked. It uses irwin mitchells reputation, fundamentally If it didn't it would be a small time firm. It was a RELIEF to hand my notice in.

Pros

No pros or anything positive to say

Cons

The worst company I’ve ever worked for!! management work you into the ground and treat you like you’re a robot and they even limit the time that you can make a drink and use the bathroom. You are not allowed to talk to your employees whatsoever and will get told off if you do for even 2 minutes, No work life balance or flexibility with working hours whatsoever. Will mark you down in your performance review so that they do not have to give you a pay rise or bonus to save themselves money, yet management will get a pay rise and bonus every single time. They want quantity over quality and set unrealistic expectations and set you up to fail. Nothing you ever do will be good enough for them. Cause unnecessary stress to their employees Staff turnover is extremely high

Pros

Free lunch one a week

Cons

The senior colleagues run the work place, report to management who form opinions based on these recommendations. The senior staff are and unwelcoming. Managers openly discuss people. You constantly take calls all day, it’s a call centre and fit your legal job around it. Poor training, people switch roles so often. No BAME people promoted to Irwin Mitchell training contracts from ascent.
