The marketing team at ARC is toxic and has become tarnished with multiple unfair dismissals in probation periods, poor communication, poor line management and inept, outdated strategy. Line managers are not supportive of their executives, offering no regular communication or support. There are never regular catch ups between manager and executives (to offer support and guidance). Line managers forget to do your 60 day review and offer you no formal training, so your progression is thwarted from the get go, and then thrown back in your face that you made a "mistake" (even though your manager has not offered you the right advice in the first place).
My line manager's communication is abysmal (as agreed by many employees across ARC) and her "management" is non-existent. Middle management are too busy engaging in futile "calls" day-to-day instead of properly distributing job responsibilities and helping those on their team. The strategy of dividing teams by region is pointless as there is no team unity. My own manager has consistently failed to tell me to take lieu for multiple racedays - so I have overworked my contracted hours. I would strongly advocate for nobody to apply to ARC as you are overwork your hours, paid extremely little, treated very poorly and constantly stressed with work load. You work hard for this company and you are not rewarded or even praised. Yet you make one small "error" and you are slated by management. But as long as you post on Facebook that it's National Ice Cream Day its okay (one of the legit marketing strategies... yes we are a horse racing company!!!).
