The Archipelagos Institute fights for marine conservation on many different fronts, meaning there is a lot going on and many different projects happening at the same time. You will be able to learn and work on diverse topics, while gaining solid experience in field work, creation of a research project, data collection/analysis, scientific writing, technical software, technical research equipment, etc. The team leaders and directors are passionate about the work they do and will encourage you to pursue your goals and your project. Working at Archipelagos allows you to understand the operation of an NGO. As a Supervisor of a research team, you get the chance to supervise and guide young minds and to make sure they get advice and support on their projects as well as on decisions they want to make concerning their careers. The research base is located on a Greek Island in front of the sea. The team is formed by a group of international people which gives the opportunity to learn how to work with different cultures and age ranges.
