The best and worst place to work

Pros

The only pro was having a team like a family around me. I made friends for life, and gained amazing experiences from people of all walks of life. This was the only reason I ever stayed there.

Cons

CEO and Head Office are demeaning and have zero respect for work life balance and have zero situational awareness. If money isn't coming in and you aren't sweating from a work load 24/7 then you're in the wrong. Pay, complete garbage. 20p above minimum for a supervisor who sometimes has to run a 2 story 500+ capacity building on their own with upwards of 15-20 staff is utterly atrocious. Management salary above that is also disgusting. Unless you're a GM, expect not a lot for a massive physical and mental drain.

The ethnic diversity is actually good

Cons

They never get your hours right They make you come in even when you’re ill, even when you’re working around food Customers have no respect for you, especially women - female staff tend to be sexually harassed The pay is poor They don’t respect your time/private life Have to pay for staff food and sometimes we’re not allowed to put staff food through Managers are rude So many people have been employed and then quit since I came… everyday there’s a new member of staff and another who’s quitting. I have never cried so many times in a year and 80% of it was during my stay at arc
