Pros

Nice office space (but what you would expect for an agency that makes a profit)

Cons

Where to start... - As some of the other reviews state if your face doesn’t fit you’re out on your ear fast! - Very cliquey, if you’re not in the inner sanctum your voice will not be heard - CEO will not be told, it’s her way or the highway - Staff are massively overworked, beyond that of a normal agency - stress levels are horrendous! - Work/life balance - there is no balance, all work and no play!

Pros

Lovely offices, good parking, well stocked kitchen for all staff.

Cons

Have to agree with every word the previous person said. CEO and MD run the company with no trust in staff. People in the clique don't even deserve the freedom they get because they really aren't that great at their jobs. work life balance is a joke. CEO has no filter and disregards people telling her things in confidence. A6 has gone through more Creative Directors than any company i've ever worked for, its just a sausage factory and no regard for creative thinking - what she says goes!

Thank you for your comments, I am sorry to hear that you didn’t feel you had a good experience here. We absolutely want our employees to build their long-term careers at April Six, and look after the personal development of all of our employees with training, annual appraisals and KPIs as part of that process. We have a new HR Director joining us in the next month to further develop this. As with any services business, we work hard, but do not believe that should be at the expense of people’s personal lives, and have implemented mechanisms to ensure that people are supported and have clear ways of raising any concerns. We also want every person to be heard and valued equally – creativity is the lifeblood of our business, so we ensure there is an open platform to encourage the sharing ideas from across the business. Indeed, in an anonymous staff survey last year, 85% of our people said there is a culture of respect here. We are always happy to receive feedback that we can learn from. If you would like to discuss this further please do contact me at employeerelations@aprilsix.com Many thanks, Fiona, CEO

Pros

Upper management is very strong, all managers are great. Culture is great, lots of people love to work here and people do really care about the agency.

Cons

Say goodbye to your work life balance. -- Weekend work def required for busy seasons and large projects. If I had a dollar for everytime I worked a late night or weekend...sheesh, I'll leave it at that. Clients are not good partners and are really all over the place in that some are really great and some are painful to work with. Internal April Six creative team members are all pretty medicore and need a lot hand holding. None are proactive or critical thinkers on their own. There's a few golden eggs but other than that, creative team is very mediocre.
