Business outlook
Pros
- Small firm w/ lots of growth opportunities - Entrepreneurial culture means if you have a good idea they'll typically let you run with it - Wide variety of projects - will get very good at Excel and PPT quickly - Client-facing opportunities from day 1... analysts are not just data monkeys but in meetings and interacting with the client
Cons
- Culture can be intense / toxic at times; "company bonding" is synonymous with alcohol, which can be enticing for new grads but can lead to issues - Very young leadership who have almost all been at AV their entire careers - management needs more training & favoritism is strong - Very few women both at firm in general and especially in leadership positions
