Think Twice

Pros

1) Parking allowance of RM 300 per month. 2) Hiring referral fee of RM 3,000 to RM 7,000 (depending on the role level). Got paid once the new hire starts on their first day, without the need to pass probation. 3) They do offer signon bonus to entice you to join and buy you out of your previous company, even if your notice period is 2 - 3 months. 4) Leave replacement when Public Holiday is fall on Saturday

Cons

1) Think twice if you don’t understand Chinese, especially if you can’t read. Most documents are in Chinese, and your lead only speaks Chinese. You’ll often need someone to translate for you. 2) This is a result-driven company, bright career if you're willing to spend most of your time writing impressive weekly reports to impress your bosses. 3) The office location is awful, KL Gtower with poorly maintained elevators and heavy crowds. 4) Although they claim this is an international office, it still follows a typical Chinese corporate culture. You’ll mostly be working with 80% China software engineers who don’t speak English. 5) The salary is around average or slightly above the market rate, but expect long working hours (9 am to 9 pm, five days a week). No worklife balance 6) Some coworkers are mainly focused on hard-selling the company benefits on social media, as they’re paid well for hiring referrals. 7) There’s an internal timesheet system where you’ll need to log your hours to help the company track the time spent on each project. [Weekly] 8) Most of the MNC(s) offer 18+ days Annual Leave , Ant Malaysia only got 15 or 16 days.

Chaotic, Lack of Strategy

Recommend

Business outlook

Pros

- Provides a slightly better package than the industry standard. as compared to some other technology firms in SG

Cons

- The working hour is really long, so the actual hourly pay is low (unless you have the shares) - The upper management layer keeps constantly changing, which also changes the companies strategies frequently. A lot of projects will be half-way terminated and the managers will explain to you it is the famous company culture "embracing change" ...... My personal experience here is that the management is chaotic and bureaucratic.

Don't bother with this place

Pros

1. Newly hired base salary is a bit higher than "traditional market".

Cons

1. If you don't speak Chinese, then you are in trouble, don't bother. 2. All decisions are to be made from Hangzhou, Singapore employees are really just a vendor. 3. The lack of direction from management is evident and lack of transparency is not an understatement. 4. I am not going to complain about OT, most of us knew and expected OT (thats on us), but what we weren't told was the 361 system, which means if you score 99% and every one else score 100%, u will be left without bonus or increment for the year. 5. This links back to point 1 and 2, the promotion system is a joke ... again, if you are not based in China or speak the language ... good luck!
