It was my first job out of college and I worked hard to learn the system in an experienced team. I had to work alone most of the time because of how the team was organized and there being no clear objectives to work towards.
One month before I was let go, HR handed me a letter confiming I had passed the probation period, and that I was being made a full-time employee.
Then, soon after, my team-leader tells me that this was a mistake and that I was being given a 1-month probation extension - not before I had told my family and friends about the good news.
The team-leader had never given me any indication of being unhappy with me before this and, then, a couple of days before they let me go he gave strong criticism of how I did not meet expectations.
I was treated like garbage by the team-leader and HR.
In the meetings and email communications I had with them towards the end they were aggressive and dismissed everything I said.
They were really horrible and cold.
