Pros

Coworkers are helpful and friendly (depending on which team you are in); Location is not bad; Regular 9-5 schedule, usually no overtime needed; If you are fresh out of college and have no full-time work experience and desperately needing a job, this might be right for you.

Cons

- Nearly ZERO space for your career development. The management has been with the same people for mostly over a decade and they'll never leave - The most intensive micro-management I've ever seen. Every little detail of you will be discussed, without your presence. - Not so professional environment/culture. Some managers have personal preferred employees over the others in the same team. Some co-worker or managers love to talk in a way to somehow personally offend others. - The company never invested in training. The training I received when I first started was not organized or logical, not clearly explained and clueless. - The company does not embrace changes - good or bad. When there are ways to improve the current procedure, or better ideas for a certain projects, well, these are never welcomed. You either get a straight "no" from your manager, or "we'll deliver this message" and be never discussed upon. - Very low pay - Not competitive benefits - minimum PTOs

Pros

No pros, you meet some really cool people. And by some i mean 4 out of the office population. And it is based in a central location.

Cons

This establishment is never satisfied with the strives that employees make. The workload does not equate to the pay. Numerous weeks I had worked from 7am - 9pm straight through, still was not enough for upper management. Unrealistic expectations. Some of the rudest people I have met were at American Conf. Political as an office can be. No room for advancement or growth.

Pros

The people are great, aside from leadership. There are only 2-3 leaders who genuinely care about their employees. The COO and most of leadership are out of touch with reality. Aside from that, I did see some positive changes coming from the hr department that began with the previous hr person and then continued with the current manager. They both genuinely care about employees. At least that was my experience and those I closely worked with

Cons

I don't think I have to mention it again. leaders don't care about employees, aside from 2-3. There is one in particular who makes employees feel anxiety all the time. It was hard to witness. The pay is horrible, minimal raises, barely any percentage increase, especially for a city as expensive as nyc. benefits are standard and can be better
