Pros

Travel and average compensation are the main perks, the office is fairly nice and shows their aspirations. There is a personal trainer and on site gym, but you have to pay for the personal trainer and you can't use the gym until you have had a personal trainer session, which is expensive.

Cons

They think they are an international company but also think they are a personal family company. Unfortunately this means the chairman wields his power depending on his mood, he's in a bad mood? Better hide. Working hours are a lie, you will get fired if you don't work more hours then in your contract. Pay rises are none existent unless you threaten to quit. Job titles are meaningless they think it's a method of empowerment but don't realise having 3 team leaders, a manager, asst. manager, asst director and a director in a team of 10 is missing the point. Favouritism is rife, if they like you or you are attractive to the chairman you are safe, support the wrong football team? You won't make it.

I am disappointed that your concerns were not raised with me at the time as my door is always open and many of your concerns could have easily been explained. However, it sounds like the job really didn’t suit you.

Pros

Cool benefits, such as getting to see and fly on Private Jets and a month long training session in London.

Cons

-Heavy focus on cold calling -Required to visit people on your "list" 6 times a month, regardless of how many interactions you had with them, could be 2 phone calls where you find out they charter, and they want you to go and visit them. No customer is going to be open to someone visiting their office that they hardly know or need. -Majority of work is "outbound research" aka cold calling. There is a system where they get online leads, but people in management positions take them all/ take the good ones for themselves, and distribute the bad ones to the new employees. -A LOT OF OUT OF HOURS WORK. You will be expected to be "on call" week nights, weekends, holidays. No you do not get paid for this. Could be 2am on a Tuesday, and you'd be expected to work. And yes, you'd be expected to show up at 9 am for a full work day. -Only way to succeed in this company and role, is if accounts are handed to you. Most Senior people there have had accounts handed to them from people who left before them. If you don't get an account, your job is good as gone. -Very "clique" environment in the office, makes you feel very unwelcome.

Pros

Travel to familiarise with airplanes, airports, procedures. You get to travel in cargo, passenger or comercial planes all around and all paid for you don't spend a p. Great office atmosphere Direct access to CEO and other directors Company car (Audi A4 S) Small gym free to use (never used though)(London Office only) Worldwide offices, get to meet a colleagues from every where. Friday night drinks on the house (London only) They want to be and will be the leader, beating their competitor Chapman Freeborn.

Cons

You are hired to work from 9am to 5:30pm, but you are told to get there at 8:30am and work until 6:30pm so you basically don't get overtime, if you start selling and have to rep the flight meaning you have to go on the plane for over the weekend for example its great fun but the hours can be crazy and you still have to show up to work next morning, after you pass your 6 month training period you go on the rooster for "on call" so you get phone calls all night long of go now cargo flights and even if you haven't slept you still have to show up next morning, so no wonder everybody complains about long hours. I can understand if you are busy to stay longer but if nothing is going on why stay until 6:30? Like someone said they don't like you to take 1 hour lunch, that's why they say they have a kitchen with cheap food so you don't get to go out and spend a lot of time away from the phones. They want you to be on the phone all the time which is allright except when you are actually working on a quote and it takes time to find out prices and quote the clients especially when you work with other countries where things are not as quick moving as UK and USA.
