      Williamsburg is a nice place to work.

      Cons

      Every single person who works at AidData is either a racist, or fine with working with racists. Each aspect of working at AidData - hiring, promotion, and firing - is guided by racist and misogynistic attitudes. Staff are selected based on personal biases and profound, deep-seated prejudice. Malignant narcissists reign supreme. No accountability for blatant discrimination whatsoever.

      there are a few incredibly intelligent senior staff members that know what they are doing and create opportunities for other employees. high standards of work required by particular senior staff encourage growth and learning

      Cons

      Undervalues junior staff, your experience really depends on your supervisor. Poor communication across departments. pay is low end of dev sector

      Pros

      Working at AidData was a good way to get experience in development and was easy to work into my schedule along with classes as nearly all the work is remote.

      Cons

      The semester I spent with AidData was incredibly disorganized- at times there was very little work to do and at others there was a lot of work to do in a short period. Additionally, you have to work a large number of unpaid hours before you see any salary.
