Pros

Nice food and wine on work trips. Immediate team - nice people and very civilised with a diverse mix from many different nations across the globe.

Cons

Not enough strategic, tactical connections or pragmatic solutions between what they want as a business (turnover growth) and the 'how' - how they will achieve growth. Losing market share in SP brands due to poorly managed 3P supply chains (Wet petfood), and being extremely late to the 'Wet party'. Poor decisions across the board from new wet petfood factory location, to adding grocery recipes to SP brands, to not understanding their own brands or their customers in anywhere near the detail they need. Overall a business that is 'flying blind' without the insight-led approach they now sorely need. Despite being smaller than the 'Big 5', the company moves at a very slow, 'silo'd' pace. Failure to understand 'anywhere distribution' and still thinks in-market exclusivity and rigid distribution (certain brands for grocery, certain brands for SPT) is the right approach. Failure to understand the alignment needed between Ecomms and international markets, outside of core markets. Failure to understand essential packaging requirements like languages. Failure to have any kind of proper pragmatic discussions and solutions on these areas to permanently solve them. Failure to properly assess how people are feeling amongst all the turmoil and redundancies, and how this is adversely affecting motivation and culture. Knowledge failure in how to invest in resources (including people) to help drive growth. As such, these failures means their competitors are staring to leave them behind, and rapidly so.

Pros

stable long term objectives and strategy, continuous investment, good offices and hybrid work model. Nice office environment.

Cons

Local culture despite being present in different countries - for example Catalan is present every day (meetings, emails) especially if you go further up in the structure. Low diversification regarding backgrounds and management styles from middle to top management - which could be a difficult environment for people that want to bring differentiation or different wow.
