      I have learnt that it is very important to Join a union so that you have someone to back you up when things go wrong when working with this company.

      Avoid working here at all costs

      Hard working colleagues who try their best.

      Cons

      Working here is hell, the staff work their fingers to the bone with no appreciation at all from management or team leaders, you just get more tasks dumped on you when you are already snowed under working on reception with no other time to do anything but answer the phone and deal with clients 9-5, management and team leaders speak to you like you are dirt, turnover of staff is extremely high and I can understand why. Hard working staff are growing disenchanted and they are going to lose talented and hard working staff and replace them with what? Inferior staff if they aren't careful! Do not work here!

It goes without saying that we are sorry to hear that your experience of working at the service wasn’t as positive as we expect it to be it for all of our staff. We do have systems and processes in place to help all our people share feedback whilst in work.       I love working here - we achieve great things!

      Pros

      The field we work in is tough, the people we work with struggle with complex issues in their lives, but staff here are fantastic, work really hard and do a great job at helping individuals with drug, alcohol and mental health problems every day. The culture of this charity is second to none. I've worked in the private and public sectors and I find the environment at Addaction by far the best. I feel supported and am constantly challenged (in a good way) and helped to develop in my role. The new Chief Exec is fab and is really making a difference to how we work. He's taking the issues affecting the people we work with direct to the Government, seeking change.
