Pros

Easy commute, u dont have commute to the city. Nice business complex & office. Nice perks, e.g...parties, free lunches, etc. Staff members (worker Bees are great). Great business model for Barter.

Cons

Basically read every review, it's a theme here, not just one disgruntled employee. Duplicitous management & HR Dept. Management does not care about their employees, they mcromanage. Constant finger pointing & EXTREME favoritism. No raises for years & years. Late nights & hard work garner no recognition. They may have taken a lease till 2029 but they wont be around, their business & the company are going downhill fast due to it's horrific managers. A bunch of "yes men" & women.

Pros

The commute is better than going to the city everyday. There are a lot of snakes but you can find some great people if you search hard enough.

Cons

To anyone considering working at Active, PAY ATTENTION TO THE PREVIOUS COMMENTS. Everyone is basically dead on with their reviews. I understand that in this economy, many people do not have the option to hold off until they find something better. However, if you can wait it out or are juggling between other companies and this one, do not choose Active. There is clear favoritism that goes on when it comes to promotions. You will find that anywhere you go but here, it is very blatant and discouraging. The other comments say that it is very hard to move up and it is unless you swallow your pride and kiss up to everyone you encounter. If you play the game, you have a decent chance of moving up if a position opens. However, it is not enough to let your work speak for itself. The work and pay are both equally unrewarding so again, I stress that if you have other options on the table, weigh those heavily and disregard this. It totally is not worth the long hours, stress and lack of respect and appreciation. However, if you have no choice but to accept this, once hired, don't give up on the job search. There definitely is better out there.

Pros

- Hybrid work schedule - Work load is fair and equally distributed (at least from what I saw) - Lots of time off

Cons

- God awful work environment. Very cliquey, and too much gossip. It feels as if someone always has other motives when they approach you with something. - Management is really, really bad. On the lower and higher level. I know of one manager who I can say was actually fair and reasonable. The rest are just mean, unrealistic in their expectations of us, and don't give employees enough credit. - The annual and semi-annual work review program. It is just plain bad. You may say how you feel and disagree with managements assessment of your work there, but it won't make a difference. Once the company has painted an "image" of you, it's very difficult to shake that negative image. - Human resources has got to be the worst of them all (aside from the higher management bunch). They're extremally inefficient, old, and are the perfect example of why Toby exists on The Office. And obviously, they never have your best intentions at heart. They do a really bad job at trying to hide that. - No room for advancement/low pay. The pay is absolutely atrocious. Get a job here if you're a fresh college grad. Get your couple years experience and then get the hell out.
