Pros

I enjoyed the job duties and a few people and wished things could change because I really enjoyed my work and I liked helping others.

Cons

The lack of supervision and their ability to address concerns and change behaviors is not acceptable. Issues addressed repetitively with no change. Others have to pick up the slack and the extra work goes unnoticed and unrewarded. That must be because they stress, "TEAM" and you just pick up the slack but "TEAM" involves everybody pulling their weight, not just one or two because they may feel taken advantage of. Just because one worker has been there for many years doesn't mean they are exempt from sharing the responsibility especially when they have time to stare out the window for long periods of time or take personal calls while others get called out for being on the phone. You may personally fall into the swallows of defeat and you follow suit with the morale of everybody else until you pull yourself up and get out of there. We're all human and we all make mistakes and this is especially true when data from your first three months on the job is pulled and entered into your review and used to justify why you're not worthy enough to get a raise. They put in lots of controls and can now monitor your coming and going based on your card scan. They won't allow personal computer usage on break unless you bring your own and you use it away from your desk. Not that flexible on hours and you can't stay past 5. Make sure potty before a meeting because you might get called out if you're 30 seconds late. Don't take a break and talk on your phone when the higher ups are around or they'll tell your manager that they think you're spending too much time on the phone. Make sure you don't walk too fast or wear slacks that could be mistaken for sweatpants. It's against their policy to wear anything you can wear to a gym or cleaning the garage. Interesting that you can get called into the office for cotton knit pants but spandex showing every curve is considered office worthy. Nothing like enforcing the policy by selecting certain individuals to enforce it on but allowing others to break it.

Pros

It was a good place to get experience, but not a good place to stay.

Cons

As of time the IT was outsourced it was a terrible place to work. After many years service, I was paid 55% of what next job I got paid (and was hired for the next job by phone interview). While it was my mistake to not have left sooner, it shouldn't come to that and the company should've stayed competitive on compensation.

Pros

Activar is a big company, so it looks good on your resume.

Cons

Management and ownership are clueless. Most of the real "talent" has either left the company or been let go. Everyone feels like a number, and they are treated as such. What used to be a great place to work, has been turned into a heartless money making machine for the ownership.
