Pros

Decent benefits and somewhat flexible in allowing employees to work from home once a week. Some good people in the company.

Cons

Constant changes in staff (never a good sign). Marketers don't care about how much stress they place on designers. Always making last minute requests and telling junior marketers "don't worry the designers will get it done". The managers in the production and web departments can't/don't push back as upper management only supports the departments that bring in business/money. The designer always suffers. This is NOT a company that cares about designers! Salaries for designers are below market rate. As a designer you should expect below average salary growth, even if you excel. Web Designers don't expect to do much design. All web projects are rushed. Expect low level of creativity as the same site gets re-purposed for different departments. Graphic Designers can expect tight deadlines and plenty of incompetence from the marketers. HR department tells managers what salary increment to give their employees. Not the other way around. Never come across that in any other company.

Pros

AI does offer a competitive benefits package and also offers some scattered incentives for employees like gift cards and awards for jobs well done.

Cons

There is a not a lot of room for individual ideas, despite the lip service paid at brainstorming sessions and group get-togethers. The management does the thinking and the ground team does the work, and there are really no pretenses about it. This leads to a poisonous atmosphere in which everyone gets along when they're face to face, but behind closed doors the animosity is barely contained. The elitist attitude among upper management is so prevalent as to make the whole company laughable.

Pros

At AI, you can be assured as a creative of a manageable schedule, the right tools, and smart peers.

Cons

There's not much focus or seriousness about brand identity. Things from the creative side are handled a bit sloppily - no style guides for the pub brands etc.
