Pros

In ASSIA, the engineers are the smartest. Lots of exciting exchange of ideas among the greatest engineers in the world. They are very skilled tech geek with lots of talent. The engineering team is friendly and easy to work with.

Cons

Bad top management. The CEO is a good academic leader. But it does not mean the same holds true in business. Many of PhD students were at management positions forming the so called "Stanford Club". DSL business is completely out of date as everyone knows it. In the mean while, WiFi business - "CloudCheck" - looks very very cloudy.

Pros

Wonderful core product that has no advancement in it's roadmap for 4 years. Engineering & delivery team are mostly excellent.

Cons

Why on earth does the Board never learn. Constant change at Executive level with continuous poor choices for these Exec positions. Too heavily indebted from financial perspective, so this will not end well. Feel sorry for the customers as they have no idea of the cliff that is approaching.

Pros

For a startup company, the work environment is good. - Flexible schedule. - Good work-life balance. - Good benefits. - Good amount of PTO. Everyone is friendly, and the workers are very smart and skilled. I enjoyed working for ASSIA very much.

Cons

Management is trying so desperately to make ASSIA a superstar company and go public. - The company spends too much money in various R&D projects. - Has new upper management almost yearly. - Does not give enough focus on their main product which is the company's main source of revenue. As a result, the company has had two major layoffs in the last year. The company has risked so much for stardom and has failed and now is doing everything they can from going belly-up.
