I worked at ASDA part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Highly active work, reasonably paid, and plenty of opportunities for overtime. Straightforward once you learn your aisles. Great for just paying the bills. Paid for the hours you work, so staying late isn't 'free work'. Fair amount of freedom to listen to music/podcasts and do your own thing when the store is closed. 10% employee discount card, can also buy reduced food/drink for lunch.

    Cons

Hard to take holiday if you're contracted for busy nights (Fri, Sat) Quite monotonous work Not a lot of room for growth if you don't want to climb the retail ladder Can be physically and mentally draining If you stay late on a night shift, your pay switches to the day rate after 6am - so it's not necessarily in your interest to stay and help if needed. Weekend and holiday deliveries are a NIGHTMARE, especially if...

I have been working at ASDA part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Colleagues are very helpful and caring; will always assist you if need any help.

    Cons

If you want to call admin from home, they are sometimes hard to get to because they barely pick up their calls. Management take their time to deal with your admin issues, to the point they forget to even contact you about resolving it.
