Politics are growing so much.
CEO is scared to listen to real feedback. An extremely hypocrite and insecure person. Despises other different cultures though does not publicly say it, only during drinking sessions.
Information and culture cascades down and preference for incompetent PhDs is evident and reduces motivation. Example, a recently (2-3 years ago) hired is the new group manager of the robotics team. His strategy was to create politics, lick boots and steal credit/work of NTU/NUS/SUTD students and staff. According to management this is a skill to possess.
Generally, talent stays 1 year or so. So it's difficult to construct meaningful research.
Management in general is lazy, judgmental and corrupted. CEO is trying to remove all foreigners from management roles and positioned friend as a second in command.
Culture is erratic. Some staff lives in Canada but demand others to overwork.
If this place didn't have the funding from the government it would have collapsed long ago.
