Pros

- Small group teaching environment. - Different age groups have varied and engaging art activities. - Although classes are for children, the sessions are fun and interactive for teachers too. - Most children are well-behaved, making classes enjoyable and smooth.

Cons

Need to quickly fill in your availability slots, as openings can be limited. Art projects are weekly-based, so you may need to follow up on previous work if you didn’t teach the prior session. Expect to get a little messy, wear clothes you don’t mind staining, as acrylic paint can be hard to remove if not washed off immediately.

Pros

I've been teaching at Artary for some time, and it's been a blast. The best part, hands down, is the creative freedom. The curriculum is more of a suggestion than a rulebook, which means I can really make each class my own. Nothing beats seeing a kid's face light up when they love a project you came up with together. The kids are awesome, and the focus on making art fun and not just perfect makes my job feel less like work and more like hanging out and playing. The vibe with my coworkers is also amazing. We're all super supportive and always sharing ideas. It's a total team effort, and everyone genuinely wants to see each other kill it.

Cons

Now, for the real talk. While it's a ton of fun, it's not always easy. The workload can get pretty wild sometimes, especially when we're prepping for a big student showcase or holiday programs. The admin stuff can also feel like a lot with all the scheduling and parent emails. It's totally doable, but just a heads-up. My advice for a new teacher is this: just go with the flow, be yourself, and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty! If you love art and kids, you'll fit right in. The good days way outnumber the crazy ones, and seeing how you help a kid get more confident and creative is just the best.
