Pros

Ok wage and benefits offered after 90 days. Company does help in hiring former inmates allowing for return to work options.

Cons

Because they hire people on probation the management or leads are disrespectful to workers threatening to fire them (causing them to lose newly gained privileges) if they don't work mandatory overtime until late at night to make production numbers. Often false promises are used to motivate and derogatory comments are used as means of emotional punishment all for the bonus opportunities of shift leaders. Sad because most employees there are highly motivated on their own to do a good job and have a new opportunity for a better life and this type of atmosphere is costly for both the company and the community. HR needs to shine light on this situation and get management to wake up to the risk they are taking with power hungry leads and cost of high turnover.
