Pros

At the time I worked there, they did offer flexible hours.

Cons

I've warned so many people about AHA over the years, and I hope I've helped save them from what was a very abusive, chaotic, unprofessional work environment for me and many others. The turnover rate is off the charts for a reason. The owner lacks the emotional stability to treat professionals as human beings. She pounces on people and picks one or two victims at a time to focus on. After a few weeks or months, she moves on to the next person. Everyone knew their turn in the barrel was coming, and there was a constant atmosphere of fear and dread. Three weeks after I started working there, I started looking for another job. I found one three months later, and it was the longest, most stressful three months of my life. I am not a complainer and not a whiner -- this is simply the worst job I've ever had.

Great people, poor leadership

Pros

I worked with some great people and made some great friendships

Cons

*Leadership doesn't know how to sell the agency. They talk a good game, but clients just aren't buying. *Pay is middling for the industry, despite assurances that you're getting "market rates" *Bloat and top heaviness plagued the organization for years, and they've paid the price with multiple rounds of layoffs and people running for the exits for another opportunity at any chance they get.

Big ideas, poor execution, and lots of turnover

Pros

- They really want to produce work that can "change the world." - They bring in strong, immensely talented people to try and achieve this. - If you are working on the right type of project, you'll be steadily busy all year long, and maybe even too busy at some times (better than bone dry).

Cons

- High turnover (multiple rounds of layoffs, new hires, more layoffs, etc) - The "earth changing" work is majority small production projects and campaigns (unless you happen to work on Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability reports) - Strong talent doesn't get to stretch their chops as much as they could - Very cliquey in departments
