Pros

Salary Career growth Stability Long-term sustainability Vision Some of us , however , prefer to learn things as we grow up and reach out to the rest of the world. That’s called getting an education. Some of us don’t think it ends at graduation day from whatever school we attended back home. Some of us think that it’s a lifelong process.

Cons

Wotk life bal short-term sustainbility middle management

Pros

-Only Pro I can think of is the Salary Package. Although that is not the case anymore, with rising school costs and very expensive living costs in abudhabi. -Long cycle people can benefit from the good compensation as their families still live back home. They are not affected by the high living costs in abudhabi. -Salary structures are based on the passport one holds. Europeans will earn more than a South-asian at the same designated grade. But I would still say packages are attractive.

Cons

-Racist culture. As an expat you are reminded everyday, that you are there only to serve locals. You are completely dehumanised. ADNOC's human rights values are the same as the countries, which is non-existant. -20% of the expat work-force do 80% of the work. -Highly Biased towards Local employees. All leadership positions from Team-leader and above are only accessible to locals. Therefore, leadership teams are highly incompetent. -High level of politicking. As an expat you will be successful only by embracing the a*s-kissing culture and flattery towards locals. -Not much career growth opportunities. -Absolutely no Job security. There have been mass scale firing of employees from 2016 to 2017 during the oil price crash with no justifications. -Do not cater to employees but expect loyalty from employees. One can be fired at any point with no justifications but when employees resign they make the resignation process a living hell. Absolute psychopathic control. Terminations are swift but resignations a living hell.
