Pros

The fear they put in you (firing people all day) might make you sweat and lose a bit of weight. You may eventually see the light and find your way out - in that case congratulations, you can add the experience on your CV and hope 4th Dimension give you a good reference!

Cons

Summed up this is the sort of hole you crawl into to die, there is so much negativity around, so many people are afraid to be sick as they lose out on pay, others are in fear of losing their job as there is a serious militia vibe around. You cannot look relaxed or their management will probably go through your web browsing history to see that you didn't read the news - Everything is dismissal worthy in this place. They want you to earn them that ££ from the big insurance companies out there. ^Recruiters lying about the actual job role ^ No sick pay ^ Slobs eating smelly take away all day ^ Perverts in the workshop area ^ Short 30 minute lunch breaks for a 9.5 hour day ^ Working a full week & Saturday but not giving you a day off in the week ^ No career progression ^ Re-organising the structure to save money and putting a stop to pay rise ^ No onsite canteen ^ Terrible pay in general ^ Zero benefits - Not even a discounted insurance policy.

Pros

Great people (under management) Free tea and coffee Free Parking Easy commute

Cons

The company has lost its way. From a small "family-like" environment it has grown exponentially however the wrong senior management has now been employed. 2 failed management heads from Ageas are now running the show and trying to implement a more corporate environment which just does not work. Staff are unable to voice their opinions and are belittled for having made a mistake; even though this is largely due to the fast paced and lacklustre training provided. As handlers, we are required to wear many hats which for the majority of the time is confusing. One team leader in particular knows absolutely next to nothing about anything he harps on about. He is smug and unapproachable and seems to get away with murder. We lost 2 very influential members of the senior team who were the only thing keeping me there. I felt supported and they made my working day enjoyable, I had every confidence in the advice they gave and I know a number of colleagues did also. The minute they left, the whole place took a turn for the worse. The company values of PASSION, INTEGRITY, INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE are almost laughable. PASSION - Where is the senior managements passion for their team? How can you expect someone to be passionate about something that they have lost all faith in? INTEGRITY - Staff's integrity is questioned on a daily basis. They are expected to lie and ill advise customers on lead times for repairs and collections. Let alone the back handed audits that take place on a regular basis. If some of the insurers or brokers could see the genuine data they required for audit, I fear 4th Dimension could be out of business. Word of advice to any insurers that work with this company!!!! Don't be fooled by the limited access you have to activity notes and MI. It is so bad in the business that the activity has been given its own name, FRAUDITS!! INNOVATION - I can not think of a single thing innovative that has been done in the place? One of the senior members that "went on leave" at the end of last year seemed to be making headway into providing handlers with good access to materials etc but again, this fell by the wayside when he appeared to go on a year long trip around the world??? EXCELLENCE - I think the above sums this up!! All in all, I would say this company has the makings of something great but it has significantly lost its way. The arrogance of a certain team leader needs to be reviewed immediately, he alone will ensure unrest and mutiny in the ranks.
