In an industry that abhors noise, Wireless Telecom Group sure makes a lot of it. The company, which markets its products under the brand name Noisecom, makes electronic noise generators for wireless telecommunications systems. Its products are used to test whether such systems can receive transmitted information. Its noise emulator products also operate in radar and satellite systems to continually monitor and test receivers or to jam signals. Wireless Telecom's Boonton Electronics subsidiary makes radio-frequency (RF) and microwave test equipment. Its Microlab subsidiary makes high-power, passive microwave components. Wireless Telecom Group gets nearly one-third of sales from outside the Americas region.
