Description Usually, the first thing that people want to now is – how much will I get paid? So, let’s just be upfront and get this out of the way. As an example, in September 2019 our highest rate was $2.98/minute of recording transcribed (our lowest rate was $0.84/minute). The average rate over the month was $1.39/minute.
Just to be clear from the onset, we are NOT here to ‘short change’ transcriptionists or ‘rip transcriptionists off’. This is not what Transcript Divas Transcription Services are about and never will be. We aim to beat the average hourly rate for transcriptionists working in the USA. We also commit to enabling contractors to hit above the New York Living Wage.
Transcript Divas are commonly seen amongst the contractors as paying the highest, or near the highest, contractor rates in the United States. It is not uncommon for team members to end up working with us for a number of years. They like it.
The rates we offer depend on what the client orders. In general, the more time it takes to transcribe a certain project (e.g. poor quality recording/more people speaking etc.) the more we charge the client. In turn, the higher the rate is for the typist.
Transcript Divas has an employee rating of 2.3 out of 5 stars, based on 24 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have an average working experience there. The Transcript Divas employee rating is 40% below average for employers within the Human resources and staffing industry (3.8 stars).
