Softtek keeps the outsourced IT consulting industry a little bit closer to home. The company is one of Mexico's largest providers of "near shore" outsourcing services, providing information technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) services to US and international companies from south of the border. As a "near shore" provider, Softtek aims to give offshore IT services providers in India a run for their money. It offers application development, management, and security services and software testing. Specialties include Cognos, Informatica, and SAP software. Softtek maintains about 30 offices across the Americas, as well as in China, Spain, and the UK. It was founded in 1982.
