Renta Corporación Real Estate doesn't pave paradise to put up parking lots, but it got its start that way. Founded in 1991 to buy and sell parking spaces, today Renta specializes in acquiring, transforming, and selling large properties. Its residential refurbishment business acquires residential buildings for renovation and subsequent sale. Another division acquires office and industrial buildings for transformation and sale, and yet another acquires large-scale property complexes for development and ultimate sale. Renta has about a half-dozen offices in Spain, the UK, France, Germany, and the US.
