Description Raytech knows the problems friction can cause. The company makes dry-friction components including clutch facings used in car and truck manual transmissions. Customers include automotive and commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). In 2008 Raytech sold its wet-engineered friction products (used in oil-immersed environments for heat resistance, inertia control, energy absorption, and transmissions in trucks, buses, and farm machinery) and aftermarket transmission components divisions. The company is owned by the Raytech Corporation Asbestos Personal Injury Trust.
