One of Long Island's largest auto dealerships, Rallye Group sells Acura, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, and most recently Smart brands in some of the more affluent areas of Long Island, New York, and Manhattan. Rallye also offers parts and service. Originally a repair garage for imported vehicles, the firm was founded as a Maserati franchise in 1958 by George Moss and the late Peter Terian, husband of chairman and former CEO Juliana Curran Terian. The Rallye Group is the largest female-owned dealership in the US. A deal to be acquired by Penske Automotive Group fell through in late 2007.
