Description The government-run Italian broadcaster RAI doesn't just do television and radio -- Rai Cinema is RAI's film production and distribution arm. The company has been involved with the production of such titles as The Counting House and Hollywood Flies (Mosche a Hollywood), and has the rights to such foreign-produced films as All About My Mother, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Saw 3. Distribution is taken care of through its 01 Distribution subsidiary. Rai Cinema was founded in 1990 in order to compete with Medusa Film, a subsidiary of Mediaset (which is partially controlled by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi).
