Inventec will build it whether it has dreamed it up or not. The company provides contract manufacturing services for global electronics companies. It produces notebook and desktop computers and offers aftermarket warranty services. The company also designs and produces calculators, modems, portable computing and media devices, wireless telephone handsets, and other gadgets. Inventec's customers include Acer, Apple, Hewlett-Packard (accounting for about 60% of Inventec's notebook shipments), and Toshiba. Inventec also makes the Nook e-reader for Barnes and Noble.
