The firm invests in and develops commercial, retail, and industrial real estate in the UK, specializing in converting industrial properties to retirement, retail, or mixed-use developments. Its portfolio includes mostly London offices and retail space as well as mixed-use and industrial projects and retirement villages. In addition to its UK holdings, the company is developing several retail properties in Poland. Helical Bar, which started as a steel company in 1919, shed that business in 1986 to focus on property development and investment. The company's management owns some 17% of its stock.
