Bitstream counts on its fonts to keep business flowing. The company's Font Fusion and Panorama technologies help deliver typographic capabilities to hardware, software, and Web applications. It offers some 90,000 fonts through MyFonts.com. Bitstream also develops the cloud-powered, mobile-focused BOLT Internet browser, which is designed to work not just with smartphones, but all types of mobile phones. Subsidiary Pageflex offers publishing software that designs and creates custom business documents based on customer profiles. In 2011 Bitstream agreed to spin off its non-font businesses to facilitate the company's acquisition by Monotype Imaging for $50 million.
