The Opportunity:
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Controller to join our Quality and Technical team at our Landing Drive site in Auckland.
Based on the production floor, you’ll help ensure our products meet quality, safety and compliance standards by completing real-time checks, identifying issues early and working closely with manufacturing.
Production runs Monday to Thursday across 10-hour shifts, with occasional Saturday work on average fortnightly.
You’ll be joining a small, supportive team that communicates well, shares knowledge and provides training and coaching.
What You Will Do: Inspections: Conduct online inspections and product checks across incoming materials, in-process goods and finished products.
Quality monitoring: Monitor product quality in real time, identifying and escalating issues quickly and appropriately.
Product release: Perform positive release activities for toothpaste products in line with approved procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate QC records and support non-conformance management, internal audits and environmental monitoring.
Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams to support GMP compliance and continuous improvement on the production floor.
What We Are Looking For: Experience: Experience in quality control within manufacturing, ideally FMCG, food, pharmaceutical or similar.
Detail focus: Strong observation skills and confidence working in a high-frequency, repetitive inspection role.
Judgement: Reliable, practical and able to identify issues, ask questions and act quickly.
Communication: Clear and respectful communication, strong time management and the ability to work effectively with production teams.
Quality systems: Understanding of GMP, HACCP or quality systems; a Food Science or Chemistry qualification would be advantageous.
Availability: Comfortable working 10-hour shifts Monday to Thursday, with occasional Saturday work as required.
