230 (Mission Support) Squadron based at RNZAF Auckland, Whenuapai is responsible for enabling and enhancing military air operations by providing mission support through the professional delivery of specialist intelligence, communications and information systems.
The aim of this crucial role is to provide, maintain, design and build up-to-date computing facilities within 230 Squadron and the wider Royal New Zealand Air Force for Air specific networks.
On a daily basis you will give technical input into ongoing projects, provide high level I.T. support, be involved in the development of new solutions and manage current systems.
You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team who are passionate about the work they do.
Being a motivated learner as there is plenty of training and development opportunities and you will happy to also coach and mentor junior tech staff by sharing your knowledge.
The salary for this role ranges from $88,217 to approx. $97,359, inclusive of a 4% superannuation contribution. Appointments within this range are based on skills and experience.

We are seeking an experienced IT professional with a strong background in network infrastructure, system deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
You will bring solid technical expertise across Microsoft technologies, VMware environments, server hardware, Cisco networking, SAN solutions, network security platforms, and ITIL-based service management practices.
You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing a high-availability, business-critical environment, providing Tier 2/3 support and ensuring the stability and performance of core systems.
The ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver practical, innovative solutions is essential.
