The Whakapapa whānau are a small but ambitious team operating year-round on the northern slopes of Mt Ruapehu.
In winter, Whakapapa transforms into one of New Zealand’s largest ski areas, welcoming guests from across New Zealand and around the world. In summer, our iconic Sky Waka gondola provides access to a spectacular alpine sightseeing experience in the heart of Tongariro National Park.
For many of our guests, Whakapapa is more than a destination, it’s a place woven into family traditions and lifelong memories, often across multiple generations.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
No two days are the same at Whakapapa.
We’re looking for a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team and help keep critical infrastructure and mountain operations running safely and reliably year-round.
This is not your standard electrical role. One day you could be fault-finding and repairing infrastructure, the next you could be assisting with snowmaking installations in alpine terrain.
